I especially liked that this book also explores some more interesting family history, including a brilliantly written subplot about Angelo Cento's childhood and first tastes of mob life.
I found this book to be a spectacular addition to the series and one not to be missed by anyone with even the slightest interest in an action fueled story about ny's crime families. Don't hesitate in buying this book. This one is a terrific read, and I'm certain you'll have trouble putting it down once you start reading. Good read for those interested in this genre.
Just like his first book "Connected" I could not put this down. The characters and story line are done so well that you are pulled into the fast paced and unpredicable lives that become more exciting to the very end. Someone should put these stories in the hands of a great director... the plots, characters and suspense would make a fantastic tale on the big screen. Not sure if it is already in the works but a "Reconnected, Again" would be an immediate download for my .
Follow up to CONNECTED this book continued with the story of the life of the characters we first met in the earlier book.
Easy reading yet held my interest right to the end.
Now for my search for book #3
Seriously? The less vicious gangsters are the "good guys"? I read the whole book trying to understand the story or the point of it, to no avail. Wasted my time.
Apuzzo's first book was a treasure and I could not put it down. The next edition, "Reconnected" is also a great read although I had to do some eye rolling during the chapter on the west coast tech people and their inane back and forth bantering. Guess I'm not used to the west coast high tech gotcha lifestyle. I just thought it was a little much. I surmised Nick is pitching his own high tech start up idea and included it in his book. Not bad. Nick is a great story teller and his style is an easy flow from page to page. If he comes out with more mob stories like these last two I will be a willing customer.
